Naveen Margankunte
Co-Founder & Chief Idea Officer
PhD Physicist (University of Florida), where he won the Tom Scott Memorial Award for distinction in experimental physics research under Prof. David Tanner. Ex-Areva Solar senior engineer who deployed concentrated solar power across Rajasthan. Built and scaled ventures from Hawaii to Silicon Valley to Bangalore. M.Sc. IIT Bombay.

Co-Founder & Chief Science Officer
PhD Astrophysics (University of Michigan). Seasoned extraction and process development leader with deep expertise in scale-up execution. Focused on taking laboratory bioleaching processes to industrial-scale production. Hands-on experience bringing complex science from bench to reality. B.Tech IIT Bombay.

Aruna Rajan
CTO
A PhD graduate from (Urbana- Champaign) , with an academic foundation from BITS Pilani. She brings deep expertise in AI, product leadership, and scalable technology systems, and has previously been associated with Google’s Android products in India. She currently leads technology development and AI-driven bioleaching optimization at NuMarg.
Tom Scott Memorial Award -
University of Florida
Naveen Margankunte received this award as a senior graduate student in Experimental Physics for outstanding research. The award honors the memory of Professor Tom Scott, a distinguished researcher and former Chair of the Department. Naveen conducted his research on condensed matter physics under David Tanner.
Gave Up a French Fellowship to Help 1,500 Farmers
Before NuMarg, Ajay Tannirkulam — PhD Astrophysics, University of Michigan — walked away from a prestigious European research fellowship to co-found Magasool, a technology-driven organization that increased incomes for over 1,500 marginal farmers across nine districts of Tamil Nadu. Featured in The Better India.
Led Android for a Billion Users
at Google
Aruna Rajan served as Director and Head of Android Platform Products for India at Google, and as Technical Director in Google Cloud's Office of the CTO. She holds a PhD in Theoretical & Mathematical Physics from UIUC and a B.Sc. from BITS Pilani. At Myntra, her team pioneered one of the world's first applications of GANs to machine-generate fashion designs. At NuMarg, she leads technology development and AI platform architecture.
